Job Purpose & Scope
To ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in assigned
territory by identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining
existing business for Imperial.
|
Core Job Responsibilities
- Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives for the
territory under their management through execution of agreed strategies and the
Imperial sales plan.
- Promoting Imperial managed products to dispensing doctors,
pharmacists, and other relevant healthcare professionals. Acts as the “face of
The Company” through contact with medical professionals and relevant customers,
maintaining a professional and brand conscious image.
- Developing an in-depth understanding of company medications and
promoting these in a convincing manner to key customers. Innovative strategies
to drive downstream sales to ensure optimal sell out.
- Building and maintaining good business relationships with customers
to encourage repeat purchases and recommendations
- Following up on leads generated by the company or any requests
received from customers in territory
- Preparing presentations for customers to highlight the advantages
of Imperial managed products
- Researching competitor’s products and their respective market
performances and preparing a territory sales strategy to compete, defend and
gain market share
- Keeping abreast of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect
of such developments on the company’s business strategies

Qualifications & Experience Required
Education
A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences is required
|
Languages
Proficiency in Business English (written & spoken)
|
Experience
- Ideally 2 years sales experience – a background in
Healthcare Sales is an advantage
- Entry with an undergraduate degree is possible as
training is provided
- Strong performance & sales track record from a
previous sales position if not pharmaceutical
- Resident: Kenya

Job Purpose & Scope

Core Job Responsibilities
- Achievement of sales, market share and growth objectives for the territory under their management through execution of agreed strategies and the Imperial sales plan.
- Calls on, develops and manages strong relationships with targeted HCP’s, including GP’s Physicians, Specialists, Hospital groups, Pharmacists, as well as key influencers and decision makers.
- Acts as the “face of The Company” through contact with medical professionals and relevant customers, maintaining a professional and brand conscious image.
- Maintains superior levels of product, market and formulary information, and translates product features into benefits that meet the specific customer’s needs.
- Understands and builds strong market insight, including competitor knowledge and customer dynamic. Builds and maintains impactful, favourable relationships with key opinion leaders to enhance the professionalism of the company and build advocacy.
- Keeping abreast of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect of such developments on the company’s business strategies
- Meticulous execution of the sales and marketing campaign, delivering a compelling product value proposition, differentiation and positioning in market. Identifies opportunities to maximise touchpoints in market.
- CRM tool management and efficiency, ensuring quality and consistency in targeted KPI’s/metrics.
- Develop ongoing liaison with key opinion leaders (advisory board), patient support groups and other healthcare organisations to ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
- Participating in all annual and mandatory internal training requirements
- Consult and training on the Company’s range of products and related medical conditions

Qualifications & Experience Required
Education
A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing or Business

Languages
Proficiency in Business English (written & spoken)

Experience
- Minimum 2 years Sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Established relationships with customers in respective therapeutics area is an added advantage
- Strong sale performance track record
- Resident in Kenya
